Thanks for rewriting this essay. I like simplification when it comes to computers, life and our bodies. You nailed it!

Thank you so much for reposting this. I LOVE it. You talk about authenticity while demonstrating exactly that. You show us a softer side, using astrology and somatic therapy while, at the same time, the image of your leather vest and talking about the hard lines you’d take in your life.

This is what a functional OS looks like.

Thank you for this, Dee. This continues to be a lesson I need to revisit/revise in my recovery. The emotional misalignment between my BS and my OS is what held me to booze for so long. Old patterns flare up - still causing some snags -malware- but the fact that I can recognize it when it begins to wreak some havoc, is the prize of recovery.

This piece is one I may need to revisit/re-read!

Thank you Allison. I love that my writing touched you. So many of our lessons need to be repeated and remembered—sometimes daily or hourly. It can be exhausting sometimes. “Wait! I thought I already learned that?”

No one said an examined life would be easy. But oh the joy 🙏

I know it - it feels like I keep learning and unlearning the same damn lesson! On repeat. But I love being this kind of student. Truly grateful. Thanks, Dee! For these reminders....

Just had to pop in and note that today's reading about "Freedom from and freedom to" seems to kind of fit into what you've written Dee. Just sayin' ...LOL

"Bring it on. I’ve got the back for it.

"It ain’t easy rewriting or re-installing software code, but it’s a hell of a lot easier than rebuilding an operating system."

The combination of strength and flexibility -- the ability well into the game to re-envision as you have. Always impressive.

Thanks AJ. Bought it in Sturgis a bunch of years ago ☺️

I think the curiosity was something I was born with. The strength and the methods have been hard-learned. I appreciate your comments my friend.

So great, Dee. What an interesting - and useful - way of looking at how we show up and operate in this world. And THIS: "The sheer amount of energy expended by humans to prove our own closely held BS is unmatched." Also, what a cool vest! 😊
