As you said Dee there are benefits and risks that every individual needs to weigh out. I am on the same page as you, I believe micro dosing could be very helpful for some, however I will not be stepping up to the plate simply because I am quite certain I would like it too much! I have never been able to micro anything so it's unlikely I would be able to pull it off with psilocybin.
Thanks Donna. I don’t claim to be an expert, but I can certainly speak from a little bit of experience, that It’s a tight line with a lot of drug-assisted therapies.
I've felt much the same way for quite some time. Watch out for buzzwords like "microdosing"; beware of prophets who claim to have found some kind of risk-free shortcut to vast intelligence. Macrodosing, on the other hand, could be life altering for some.
I’ve also microdosed shrooms, and found it a bit hit and miss for myself. Some days- incredibly creative, and others, anxious.
I’d be more inclined to do a propper sit with shrooms though through pregnancy and breastfeeding for years I haven’t had an opportunity just yet.
Where we live it’s pretty popular for people to go and sit with Ayuascha with some white person claiming to be a shaman.
I feel like there is a disconnect from the roots of the medicine and using it as medicine rather than recreational.
I think I’m of the belief that if you want to use a medicine, (plant medicine) then go to the roots aka get yourself to South America and visit an actual shaman and be in the full experience.
People will likely develop a bit more reverence and respect for the medicines that way 🧐
