It’s certainly worth bringing to people’s attention given the current trends. Great job on your article.

As you said Dee there are benefits and risks that every individual needs to weigh out. I am on the same page as you, I believe micro dosing could be very helpful for some, however I will not be stepping up to the plate simply because I am quite certain I would like it too much! I have never been able to micro anything so it's unlikely I would be able to pull it off with psilocybin.

Thanks for the informative article.

Thanks Donna. I don’t claim to be an expert, but I can certainly speak from a little bit of experience, that It’s a tight line with a lot of drug-assisted therapies.

So enjoyed this read. So thorough!

Had a giggle at the ultimate frisbee bit. I loved joining a team when I was living in bali, had the best fun.

I've felt much the same way for quite some time. Watch out for buzzwords like "microdosing"; beware of prophets who claim to have found some kind of risk-free shortcut to vast intelligence. Macrodosing, on the other hand, could be life altering for some.

I’ve also microdosed shrooms, and found it a bit hit and miss for myself. Some days- incredibly creative, and others, anxious.

I’d be more inclined to do a propper sit with shrooms though through pregnancy and breastfeeding for years I haven’t had an opportunity just yet.

Where we live it’s pretty popular for people to go and sit with Ayuascha with some white person claiming to be a shaman.

I feel like there is a disconnect from the roots of the medicine and using it as medicine rather than recreational.

I think I’m of the belief that if you want to use a medicine, (plant medicine) then go to the roots aka get yourself to South America and visit an actual shaman and be in the full experience.

People will likely develop a bit more reverence and respect for the medicines that way 🧐

Agree 💯 as I said in the piece...to each his own medicine. But the hype always concerns me. Follow the money directly away from the principal purpose. 🥲

Thanks for reading Kat. I’m glad it resonated with you.
